Supplementing their cable subscriptions, consumers had an increasing desire to buy or rent premium content through on-demand streaming services and watch across devices.

It was important for the design team to create brand guidelines for both in-house purposes and working with partners and third-party vendors. Meant to be a living document that would change over time to accomodate business and product needs.
Around the time binge viewing was becoming popular amongst consumers, we begain exploring the idea of subscription channels within the core product. I partnered with our product owner to explore and ideate on our potential options.
To help translate my ideas for user interactions to developers, I sketched out a few concepts in storyboard fashion. Interactions and animation in mobile apps create a more engaging experience, through various touchpoints such as loading screens, view transitions and anchor points.
To compliment our robust video playback experience, we explored a partnership with DTS in order to add additional value to the viewing experience with enhanced audio when listening through headphones.
To ensure we had brand and visual consistency in our app ecosystem, we made the decision to go with a custom user interface while respecting platform guidelines accordingly.
